Proven Leader: Knowledge, Integrity, and Courage
I have a proven track record of thoughtful leadership, problem-solving, and fighting for the best interests of all residents, even in the face of reprisal. Danvers is a town rich in the history of working together and caring for one another. I pride myself on my family being a part of that rich history and on my years of working with others for the betterment of our town. I previously served 18 years on the Select Board. I also served on Town Meeting, the Municipal Light Board, the Airport Commission, the River Committee, and as the Chair of the Affordable Housing Trust.
Danvers is a town, like the rest of the nation, that now finds itself in transition — in the need of a tested, experienced, and thoughtful leader. This is especially true with the hiring of a new town manager. Danvers is a thriving community. I want to do all I can to ensure that we continue on a positive, caring, and accepting path that is loyal to the issues that matter to the people of Danvers.
Stable Roots for a Strong Community
My decision to support Danvers through public service has been quite personal for me. When I first entered public service, I wanted to ensure that my three (now adult) children were educated in a quality school system and were able to experience growing up in the same close-knit friendly community where I grew up. Now, I want to ensure the same for all residents of Danvers. I want to continue to help protect and enhance the many parks, recreation opportunities, historic town buildings, and town services provided by our amazing town employees. I want to continue to balance the great town services while maintaining affordable taxes.
I grew up in Danvers. My wife Trish and I raised our children here. We feel fortunate to be your neighbors. We want to do all we can to ensure that the future of Danvers continues to remain the close-knit welcoming community with incredible services for all families to enjoy, while maintaining affordability! This is the Danvers I know and love. This is why I ask for your vote — because, like you, I love our Town.
